Tolak Kenaikan Gas Elpiji 3 Kg

SAMARINDA - Anggota Komisi II DPRD Kaltim Aji Sofyan Alex mengatakan, serupa dengan Gubernur Kaltim, dirinya juga menolak rencana kebijakan pemerintah pusat untuk menaikan harga gas elpiji 3 kilogram maupun 12 kilogram.

Sofian Alex mengungkapkan, kebijakan pemerintah untuk menaikkan harga elpiji tersebut dirasa kurang tepat. Ia menuturkan, masyarakat akan terbebani akibat kenaikan gas elpiji.

“Kalaupun harus dinaikkan dan tidak ada alternatif lain, ada baiknya dilaksanakan setelah puasa saja,” sarannya.

Menurutnya, kenaikan elpiji itu kurang populer dan tidak sebanding dengan hak warga memperoleh pelayanan aman dan jauh dari ancaman ledakan.

”Terbukti, saat ini masih banyak tabung gas yang meledak yang mengakibatkan kebakaran,” katanya.

Ke depannya, sambung Politisi Asal Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP), sebelum menaikkan harga gas elpiji, pemerintah melakukan langkah-langkah strategis di antaranya memberikan tabung gas, selang dan regulator dan kompor, berstandar dan aman.

”Harus lebih dahulu ada jaminan semua baik. Jika baik baru ada kenaikan gas,” pungkas Aji Sofian Alex.(hmsdprd)
